Be An Overcomer By Bishop Nelson Nzvimbo

Eye has not seen nor ear heard all the wonderful things that God has planned for your life. God is powerful and He is doing a powerful work. All you have to do is pray and do as He says.

Problems come when God tells a person to do something and they won't do it. They waver, they make excuses, they put it off until a more convenient time. Weeks turn into months and months turn into years. If you go long enough you can deceive yourself into believing you don't know what the answer is, that you didn't hear from God. But He doesn't change. If He told you to do something yesterday He's not going to change His mind today.

When God speaks do what He says now! By doing so you won't give the devil time and opportunity to come in and mess up your life. Why are so many unsettled and confused, looking for answers all the time?

Rom. 4:19-21 says Abraham considered not his own body and staggered not at the power of God through unbelief for he was fully persuaded that what God had promised he was also able to perform. He refused to consider anything other than what God said.

You waver and are confused when you consider things you shouldn't be considering. Jesus said, "The lamp of the body is the eye. If therefore your eye is good, your whole body will be full of light" (Matt. 6:22). You can't be double-minded. There is only one thing to consider. If you consider anything else you are opening the door to confusion.

You are a child of God and you are never to be confused. You are only supposed to do what He tells you to do. Decisions are easy to make because there is only one choice - do what God tells you to do. Use your faith to resist any doubt and fear with a heart of strong faith.

1 John 5:4 says, "For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that overcomes the world - our faith." An overcomer "comes over" the wiles of the enemy. Run over the fears and worries the devil puts in your path. Run over them with your faith.

Don't consider the wrong thing. Peter was walking on the water but considered the wind and the waves and began to sink. You yield to fear when you consider things you shouldn't be considering.

Do what God told you to do and do it now!
