Let's Talk About Spiritual Sonship With Bishop Nelson Nzvimbo

What are the duties of a son in the house?

A: 1. To know that he belongs to and in the family and that it's his home. Ephesians 2:17-21

2. That he has been born in that family for a purpose and not anywhere else.

3. Find his purpose and responsibilities in the house and start to operate in them.

But mostly:

B: 1. Sons are protectors of their environment, they arrows in the quiver of a their father. Psalm 127:3-5. They invest in the house.

2. They cover the nakedness of their father and whole family.

3. They do not have their own agenda but that of the father. John 1: 38-39

4. They do not have their own visions, they may only have a different approach on how to implement the father's vision.

5. They speak the words of the father.

What are the benefits of a son?

The story of Luke 15: particularly verse 11 teaches that:

He rules with the father in the affairs of the family.

He is an heir to the wealth of his father/family.

Whatever is in the family is also his for the sharing.

He has a covering over his life.

He has all the food in the house to his disposal, he has all the clothing, and in short, his social requirements are covered.

There is Also Servants in the House:

A servant is one who does services for another; a person who is employed by another for domestic duties; a slave. Another name for them is Hireling. John 10:13

How Do Servants Operate?

1. They are in the house for the job pay.

2. They use the sons as stepping stones to their success.

3. They don't invest in the house but, take from the house only.

4. They uncover the nakedness of the father and family.

5. When the heat comes, they runaway.

6. He does things haphazardly knowing that anytime he will move on.

Who Are You In The Family?

1. Are you a son? Considering the way you do things in the house.

2. Are you a servant/Hireling? Again considering the way you do things in the house.

Be true to yourself remembering that even if you lie to yourself and us, God sees the heart and knows your heart. It is better to be true to yourself about the responsibilities God has given you in His house and put yourself in the position of not regretting being His son or daughter.

Remember Colossians 3:23-24:

Whatever you do, do your work heartily, as for the Lord rather than for men; knowing that from the Lord, you will receive the reward of the inheritance. It is the Lord Jesus Christ whom you serve in your Church or Ministry. You do not serve the Church or Ministry. So you do it in the fear of God whom is the owner of the Church and not people.
