Restoration Of Doctrine With Bishop Nelson Nzvimbo

When one is born again, he or she is coming from a set of teachings that gave them to believe in the traditions they grew up in. Those teachings becomes a belief, because you started believing and operating in the sphere of those teachings.

Now when you are born again, your first walk in the new found faith is the hardest, that is;To unlearn what you have Learnt. Why? Because you may not be able to see the power and effects of the new found faith whilst you still think that the way you grew up in, is the only way to live.

That is why Paul says in Romans 12: 1-2 So here's what I want you to do, God helping you: Take your everyday, ordinary life your sleeping, eating, going-to-work, and walking-around life and place it before God as an offering. Embracing what God does for you is the best thing you can do for him. Don't become so well-adjusted to your culture that you fit into it without even thinking. Instead, fix your attention on God. You'll be changed from the inside out. Readily recognize what he wants from you, and quickly respond to it. Unlike the culture around you, always dragging you down to its level of immaturity, God brings the best out of you, develops well-formed maturity in you.

Doctrine is the set of teachings that are fundamental to the establishment of any institution's vision. It makes that institution's unique in its own way. Hebrews 6:.-3

Acts 24:41-42》 and they continued steadfastly in the Apostles Doctrine/Teaching.

This clearly shows that they where involved in other teachings before they heard and came to this one new new teaching/doctrine. So they had to leave the former and adhere to the later they had heard from Peter and the eleven on that day of Pentecost.

The following scriptures show us that we are expected to hold on to the Apostles doctrine:

Acts 4:7, 11-12 then 18, they were commanded not to teach/give doctrine of Jesus. Because the Sanhedrin bad a teaching/doctrine that they had and had given to the Israelite's.

Acts 17:10-12 The Bereans checked the teaching/doctrine of Paul and Silas. In verse 16-21 and 19, scripture says, the people wanted to know the new teaching/doctrine Paul was bringing to them.

2 Thessalonians 2:13-17 Stand firm in the teaching you have been given.

2Timothy 1:13-14 what you had from me keep.

2 Timothy 3:10-15 continue in what you have learnt and have become convinced of.

What doctrine have you received and from whom?
Are you convinced in it, to hold on to it?
Then hold on to that and stand firm in Christ Jesus.
