The Resourceful Christian with Baba Bishop Nelson Nzvimbo

And here some women were mentioned with their names, like Joanna the wife of Chuza, Susanna and many others who were supporting them with their resources. Key word in that scripture is Resourceful or Substance,

Resourceful Definition:

Is having the ability to find quick and clever ways to overcome difficulties,

That person is a problem solver and is synonymous with being:
a. Ingenious.
b. Imaginative,
c. Inventive,
d. Creative,
e. Clever,
f. Bright,
g. Sharp,
h. Able,
I. Ambitious,
j. Energetic,
k. Vigorous.

It is being able to deal skillful and promptly with new situations and difficulties.

Which then brings me to: The Giving Principle

It says: Luke 6:38

Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.

Give and it shall be Given back to you!!!

Another translation says: It shall come back to you.

Notice the statement for a moment. (It Shall Come Back to You) that's scary right?? Considering what you may have given haphazardly.

Then the Question becomes: What have you given in your life's existence?. Did you give good or bad?

Always remember the blessing is not only in the receiving but also in the giving.

Read PSALM 107: 21 to 25

This Psalm teaches us to be able to say thank you to the Lord God for what he has done for us in our lives.

We are living in the times were people will be ungrateful, meaning they wont be able to just say thank you.

In verse 22 the Psalmist requests us to give a sacrifice on the altar. And every sacrifice is not easy. Its a difficulty thing giving the only thing you may have.

1. God gave his sacrifice for us. John 3:16

2. Abraham did the same by giving a sacrifice and God called him a friend. Genesis 22:1-19

3. In our walk with the Lord, we should be able to say thank you for what He has done for us. We have every reason to say thank you, for:
a. Good health
b. Accommodation
c. Jobs
d. Food on our table
e. Clothing on our bodies, etc.

God does not give us goods for our selfish use, but to be a blessed resource for his kingdom. For the furtherance of the gospel, for looking after opharns, real widows, building churches, Outreaches, missions and other things the Spirit of God may lead us to support.

Are you being a resourceful Christian in your church, to your pastor, to your brethren in Christ and to the world?
