Burdens are Lifted at Calvary With Bishop Nelson Nzvimbo

The old precious song, Burdens Are Lifted At Calvary speaks heaps on what was done on the cross at Calvary. It brings me to remembrance of the work of salvation and deliverance done for us by our savior Jesus Christ.

And having disarmed the powers and authorities, he made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross (Colossians 2:15).

On the cross, Jesus carried all our burdens: The burden of sickness, the burden of pain ,the burden of broken homes, the burden of poverty, the burden of unemployment, the burden of alcoholism, the burden of drug abuse, the burden of depression and whatever burden you have, Jesus carried it on that cross and had it nailed dead, Hallelujah!

Here is the problem the church is facing today, Christians that carry their burdens and now call them their own. I don’t know about you, but many of the brethren I come across, carry their burdens around with them, yet they need to carry them through to Calvary by faith in Jesus.

You can come across some burdens in life or have them now, but you don’t have to carry them. It is written in 1 John 3:8, for this reason says the Lord, the son of man was manifested, to destroy all the works/burdens of the devil. Every weight/burden you carry in your life is not of God or from Him. Jesus came to destroy that and that is why it is written in 2 Corinthians 5:17. If any man is in Christ, he is a new creation. He wants to make us a burden free creation. We worry with what has been dealt with already.

It is written in Psalms 68:19, Praise be to the Lord, to God our Savior, who daily bears our burdens. Selah!

What burdens are you carrying? The song sings, Cast Your Burdens unto Jesus for He cares for you. The new way is to constantly cast all our daily burdens unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith.

People! Your hubby, wife, children, parents, boss, government, all those you look up to, also have burdens that need to be lifted from them. Your only hope of being freed from them is Jesus on the Cross and from the cross. He had it nailed and hung it all up there and left it to open shame.

It is written in Matthew 11:28, He says come to me ALL you who are weary and heavily laden/burdened, and I will give you rest. Come to Him now and surrender all your burdens to Jesus and you can have peace in your lives. Our Burdens were lifted at Calvary…..
