Peter and John went up to the temple in the time of prayer. Acts 3:1

They were in Unison or United as said by Amos 3:3, How can two walk together if they are not in agreement. The Lord Jesus Christ also echoes the prophets words in Matthew 18:20 He says, for were two or three are gathered together in my name.

The crux here is the word together, meaning Jointly, in cooperation, in collaboration, in concert.

The Tower of Babel was built with people who were together, because they had one language and God said, these people will succeed because they speak one language. Meaning they were in unison to achieve the vision of the building of their tower to connect with heaven. In Genesis 11: 1 - 8, God Himself had to come down to confuse their plan and actually said these words about this group of people in VERSES: 5 "But the Lord came down to see the city and the tower the people were building". Please take note of the following verse 6 : "The Lord said, “If as one people speaking the same language they have begun to do this, then nothing they plan to do will be impossible for them". 7 Come, let us go down and confuse their language so they will not understand each other.”

This brings me to understand that if man decides to do anything in unity, anything is very possible. Now in this case off the Tower of Babel, these people wanted to achieve this project for selfish purposes, to make a name for themselves. That brings me to the thought that says, [If children of God come together in unity, to achieve a project to the glory of God and not themselves, then anything they plan in prayer is possible].

Now let's go back to our text concerning Peter and John on prayer!

They had a set out time for prayer.

We need to set aside personal time for prayer even just one hour as stated in scripture. It's a required spiritual discipline, to set aside a time for your daily prayers. Through out the bible and Christian history, worshipers set aside moments or times for prayer. So should we today, because prayers should never cease to be given to God our creator. But when we come for prayer as a group, unity of purpose is needed. People can achieve mighty things as they come together in unity. It's possible to come together and we are not in unity and when we have something against each other. There!, good people, I tell you, prayers do not work when we come together and have issues against one another. It's possible to come in prayer and your mind is not there with yourself or others. We have to focus and being present before God, when we PRAY to Him.

Prayer is a foundation of our Christianity. Matthew 26:36-41, Jesus always took time for an hour of prayer and quizzed his disciples why they could not watch with him for just an hour. We need to look for isolated times, away from distractions so we can have quality time with the Lord. Mostly there, in the quite isolated places, is were we hear more clearly what God requires of us. If Christ found it more Important and even His disciples also, how much more should it be important to us.

Philippians 4:6, closes my subject on prayer with these words: Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

So dear reader, God is ready to hear and allow for great achievements in our lives when we PRAY. So I say Pray Until Something Happens.... PUSH..
